Study on the Anisotropy of Strength Properties of Columnar Jointed Rock Masses Using a Geometric Model Reconstruction Method Based on a Single-Random Movement Voronoi Diagram of Uniform Seed Points

The unique structural characteristics and special symmetry of columnar jointed rock mass result in its complex mechanical properties strong anisotropy, which seriously affects the safety engineering construction. To better simulate natural mass, a geometric model reconstruction method based on single-random movement Voronoi diagram uniform seed points using feasible geological parameters horizontal polygon density, irregular factor, dip angle, strike transverse joint spacing, penetration rate is proposed this paper. Based method, numerical simulation CJRM models with varying angles, factors under uniaxial compression were conducted. results show that strengths versus angle both decrease increase showing U-shape gentle W-shape, respectively. strength anisotropy decreases from 1.1057 to 1.0395 indicating relatively isotropy.
